REPLICA NIKE : USA 2004-2005 HOME SHIRT
USA team's 2004 jerseys was marred by Nike's designs for other federations. The American manufacturer decided it would be best to use a template for all their national teams, only alternating in color. Nike was harshly criticized for a lackluster and frankly lazy design, but that did not stop the United States from wearing the jersey with pride.
February 2004, the TOTAL 90 kit (as Nike put it) featured a zero distraction design, meant to be light and 'out of the way'. This design is largely remembered for the use of circle numbers, but also because the national team saw tremendous performances during 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification, where they topped the Hexagonal for the first time in history. In addition, the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup was won while wearing the 2004 Home jersey.
FREDDY ADU ( 2004-2005 )
Freddy Adu was a young starlet who had been hyped as the next United States Soccer star. His national team debut came against Canada whilst wearing the 2004 Home jersey, but he never lived up to media expectations and now finds himself struggling for playing time as he moves from club to club.
